Jayme Alambra, PT, DPT, SCS, CSCS

Jayme graduated from Stony Brook University with a doctorate in physical therapy in 2007. She holds a bachelors degree in health science and a minor in biology from Quinnipiac University. Jayme is a board certified sports specialist and certified strength and conditioning specialist. Jayme believes in a team approach in providing the best care to her patients and optimizing their performance. Successful outcomes are determined by the quality of effort by both the clinician and the patient.

Candice Amat, PT, DPT

Candice graduated from University of Florida with her Clinical Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Candice’s expertise includes spine and orthopedic conditions. She also has experience treating pelvic floor dysfunction, pregnancy pain, coccyx injuries, prostatitis, pain with intercourse, urinary frequency, diastasis recti and is trained in biofeedback. Candice personally invests in her patients while motivating them along their journey of rehabilitation. Throughout treatment, she places an emphasis on education and believes it is a critical foundation to recovery and the prevention of future injuries.

Vanda Andelova, PT, DPT

Vanda received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles in 2001. She graduated from Vanguard University of Southern California with a Bachelor’s in Sports Medicine. Vanda is originally from the Czech Republic and came to the US on a tennis scholarship. She enjoys treating general orthopedic population as well as athletes of all levels. Her clinical emphasis is on manual therapy and sport-specific exercise. Vanda is currently in a process of becoming an instructor for the Prague School of Rehabilitation. In her free time, Vanda enjoys traveling, playing tennis, hiking and spending time with her family.

Amy Benford, PT, DPT, OCS

Amy graduated from the University of Florida with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2010 and is a board certified Orthopaedic Specialist. Prior to her graduate studies, Amy received a Bachelor of Health Science from the University of Florida in 2007. Amy enjoys treating a variety of orthopedics and sports related injuries. Amy believes in working with each patient to determine an individualized treatment plan to help the patient meet their goals. Her hands on approach is focused on addressing the patient's current complaints, as well as prevention of future re-injury. Amy is a certified clinical instructor and has been a member of the APTA since 2008.

Meghan Braziel, PT, DPT, OTR/L

Meghan is a graduate of the University of St. Augustine where she earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy and Master's degree in Occupational Therapy. She completed her Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training at Endicott College in Beverly, MA. In order to best meet the patient's goals, Meghan believes it is important to put their needs first by utilizing a patient centered functional approach, in combination with therapeutic techniques, such as manual therapy. Meghan is a very outgoing, adventurous person and enjoys the beach, traveling, volunteering, and spending time with her family.

Stephanie Bridwell, DPT, STC, CSCS

Stephanie holds a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine and has been practicing since 2005. She earned a Masters degree in Physical Therapy from the University of South Florida, a Bachelors degree in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of Florida, and a Sports Therapy Certification from the University of St. Augustine. Stephanie is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. She enjoys traveling, Gator Football, outdoor activities, reading, and running and she has completed multiple half marathons and one full marathon. Her treatment philosophy incorporates a creative and comprehensive approach specifically designed for each patient to challenge and motivate them to return to their desired level of activity or sport.

Jason Brown, PT, DPT

Originally from Michigan, Jason earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Grand Valley State University, where he also holds a Bachelor's degree in Health Professions. His philosophies highlight quality care, with a patient first oriented approach. Jason strives to return patients to prior level of function and achieve patient goals by implementing evidence based rehabilitation interventions. Additionally, Jason places emphasis on returning athletes to sport specific activity safely, with reduced risk of re-injury. Locally, Jason has created, developed and instituted fitness performance and injury prevention training at Greater Tampa Bay Football Club, West Florida Flames Soccer Club, as well as providing consultation for the FIFA Guyana Women's National Soccer Program.

Doug Buethe, PT, MPT, CSCS

Doug holds a Bachelors degree in Health Sciences and a Masters degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Florida, and has been practicing Physical Therapy for over 7 years. Doug is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and Certified Group Fitness Instructor. He volunteers his time with local triathlon clubs (Triple Crown Racing, Tampa Tri Team and Team Psych), and has completed multiple half Ironmans and one full Ironman. Doug's treatment philosophy is to provide a thorough evaluation, and frequent re-evaluation, to create an individualized program allowing patients to achieve their goals in returning to, and maintaining, a healthy lifestyle.

Katherine Chavez, PT, DPT, CLWT

Katherine earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Nova Southeastern University and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Tampa. She is a Certified Lymphedema Clinician and a member of the American Physical Therapy Association. Katherine has volunteered her time at a pro bono therapy clinic, as a Spanish interpreter, and traveled abroad to Jamaica, where she provided physical therapy services to those underserved communities. In her free time, Katherine enjoys exercise such as CrossFit and Olympic weight lifting and has volunteered with the medical staff during Disney Marathons. Katherine’s physical therapy philosophy is to help people achieve their goals through an individualized approach based on compassion, communication, education, and evidence-based practice to implement the best care for her patients.

Stephanie Daniels, PT, DPT

Stephanie earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Florida.  Clinically, Stephanie has a special interest in Women’s Health physical therapy. Stephanie is an active member of the APTA with special subscriptions to the Women’s Health and Orthopedic sections. Her patients receive a focus on improving quality of life through individualized and compassionate care. She has an expanding knowledge base in pelvic floor rehabilitation. In her free time, Stephanie spends time with her family, traveling, practicing yoga and enjoying the outdoors.

Danielle Dea, PT, DPT

Danielle earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of St. Augustine and has been practicing in the Kendall area for 4 years. Danielle enjoys outdoor activities including fishing, snorkeling, playing basketball and boating. She has special interest in treating general orthopedic conditions as well as neurological conditions, including balance and gait training. Her treatment philosophy is to provide individualized care specific to the patient's needs through manual therapy and specialized therapeutic interventions.

Armando Diaz, PT, DPT

Armando received his Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from Florida State University and went on to obtain his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Florida International University. While at Florida State University, he was able to work closely with the Men's/Women's Swimming/Diving and Tennis teams, respectively. Growing up in Miami, soccer was always his number one priority and always wanted to make an effort to give back to the sport he always loved. Presently, Armando and KHPT were given the opportunity to be the clinical Liaisons to the Strike Force organization, a highly reputable competitive soccer club in the South Florida community. Besides aiding with their physical therapy needs, one of the main goals is to educate the kids, parents, as well as coaches, about injury prevention and awareness. Armando has focused his efforts in the rehabilitation of sports and orthopedics, ranging from the pediatric population to the weekend warrior. He has also had success in re-conditioning high-level athletes, from the high school to professional level. Armando has an interest in health promotion and wellness and enjoys traveling, exercising, and spending time with his family and friends. He is also a huge supporter of the Miami Heat and Florida State.

Elizabeth Foster, PT, DPT, SCS, CSCS

Elizabeth graduated from the University of Hartford with a doctorate in physical therapy in 2012. Elizabeth is Board Certified in Sports. She is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Her passion for working with athletes is fostered from her own experience as a cross country, track and field collegiate athlete. She also has experience coaching at the collegiate level. She enjoys working with athletes of all ages and abilities. Elizabeth aims to assist all patients with reaching their goals and believes in an evidence based treatment approach, detailed evaluation and individualized treatment plan.

Sheldon Fulse, PT, DPT, ATC, CSCS

Sheldon Fulse obtained his Doctorate in Physical therapy from Nova Southeastern University in Tampa, FL. He attended the University of South Florida where he obtained his Bachelors’ degree in Athletic Training. Sheldon is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. He began his nine year professional baseball career after attending a local Lakeland high school where he was drafted by the Seattle Mariners. His unique perspective as an athlete, youth coach and father allows him the experience necessary to enhance performance and treat sports related injuries. As a clinician, Sheldon places an emphasis on treating each patient’s individual needs, as well as establishing life-long habits that emphasize health and wellness. Sheldon enjoys working out, coaching, sporting activities, and spending time with his family.

Sahil Gandhi, PT, DPT, ATC

Sahil earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of St. Augustine in 2015, after receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from UCF. During his time at UCF, he worked alongside the UCF football, track, and softball teams, as well as, the Andrews Institute, carrying forward his passion for orthopedics while assessing and treating sports-related injuries. His internship at Emory Physical Therapy in Atlanta has helped provide him with a strong manual therapy background, exposing another passion of his. Sahil's treatment philosophy is to identify and cure the root cause of the problem. He uses current evidence based practice to implement the best care for his patients and understands the importance of educating the patient on their diagnosis. He is currently pursuing his manual therapy certification, and is also a member of APTA and NATA. In his free time, Sahil enjoys spending time outdoors playing basketball and football. Growing up in south Florida, he has long been a die-hard supporter of his hometown Miami Heat and Miami Dolphins.

Kaylee Garrett Simmerman, PT, DPT

Kaylee graduated from Tennessee Technological University with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. She continued her education at the University of St. Augustine to receive her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. Her education provides her with strong manual therapy skills, a passion for research, and a continued interest for hands on techniques including pelvic health physical therapy. She is currently in pursuit of her Board Certification in Women’s Health Physical Therapy. Her clinical interests resonate with her expertise including but not limited to pelvic health physical therapy, pain science, movement disorders and muscular imbalances. Kaylee also has a passion for dance rehabilitation, as a previous competitive dancer, utilizing her experience and knowledge in treating this population. Kaylee is a lifelong learner constantly acquiring new skillsets, utilizing her manual skills and applying her expert knowledge of anatomy and biomechanics in order to optimize a patient’s function and goals. In her spare time, Kaylee enjoys being outside including kayaking and hiking. She also has a passion for traveling and cooking.

Lauren Goforth, PT, DPT

Lauren earned her Bachelor of Health Science degree from the University of Florida and went on to obtain her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Nova Southeastern University graduating first in her class. Her passion for education and exercise is evident through her volunteer work with local strength and conditioning gyms sharing her knowledge for injury prevention, improved body mechanics, and incontinence with exercise and sport. Outside the clinic she enjoys participating in olympic style weightlifting meets and Crossfit competitions. Lauren enjoys working with all age groups and a variety of diagnoses. She specifically has a passion and sensitivity for the much needed specialty of pelvic floor physical therapy. Lauren's treatment philosophy is to provide evidence-based approach to care, empower patients through education, and maximize quality of life. She maintains membership in NSU Alpha Eta Society for leadership in Allied Health Professions and APTA section of Women's Health.

Kevin Hardy, PT, DPT

Kevin has been practicing since 2010 after graduating from the University of Saint Augustine School for Health Sciences with a doctorate in physical therapy. Kevin has worked in a variety of clinical settings including a clinic specializing in the treatment of rheumatic, chronic pain, and hypermobility syndromes in Washington, DC.

Kevin\'s schooling and experience focus on manual interventions, as well as exercise prescription work. He is skilled in the evaluation and treatment of the spine and extremities, hypermobility syndromes, arthritis, TMJ, gait dysfunction, and the treatment of balance/vertigo pathologies. Kevin devotes himself to performing a thorough, systematic physical therapy evaluation to locate the origin of dysfunction in each patient\'s unique case. He complements his fellow therapists at the Northdale location with a philosophy of developing a highly personalized, goal-oriented plan of treatment that centers on patient care.

Kevin enjoys sports, sailing, and spending time with his family. He has a background playing collegiate rugby and is familiar with participating in physical therapy himself.

Cera Heitkamp, PT, DPT

Cera graduated from the University of Dayton with a Bachelor of Science degree. She continued her education at UD obtaining her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. Her unique experiences during the physical therapy program provide her with strong manual therapy skills, an appreciation for the importance of educating the community and integrating research in practice. She is also very passionate about research. She has published two poster presentations at APTA's Combined Sections Meeting on 3D motion capture data. She was recently published in Journal of Clinical Biomechanics with study titled "Three-dimensional hip and knee kinematics during walking, running and single-limb drop landing in females with and without genu-valgum". Her special interests include foot and ankle. Her independent study in her PT program focused on custom foot orthotics and gait analysis. Cera strives to integrate her knowledge of biomechanics, manual skills and design specific exercises in order to get patients back exceedingly well.

Mandy Huster, PT, DPT, ATC

Mandy holds a Bachelors degree in Sports Medicine/ Athletic Training from Barry University and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of South Florida. Before obtaining her DPT she spent 10 years working as a BOC Certified Athletic Trainer with DII and high school athletes. Mandy has had a passion for orthopedic rehab since high school and enjoys working with patients of all ages and activity levels. Mandy believes in a patient centered approach to treatment allowing patients to return to and maintain their prior level of function. When not working, she enjoys hanging out with her family, watching Tampa sports teams and enjoying local outdoor events.

Rachel Iaquaniello, PT, DPT

Rachel graduated from Grand Valley State University, where she obtained her degree as a Doctor of Physical Therapy. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science at Eastern Michigan University while competing on the collegiate volleyball team. Rachel believes that the best physical therapy treatment combines a variety of skills including manual therapy, functional relevance, and evidence-based practice. Her clinical experiences include a variety of outpatient settings, including high-level sports integration. In her free time, Rachel loves to travel across the world, climb tall mountains, and compete in indoor and beach volleyball competitions.

Jim Jackson, MS, OTR/L, CHT

Jim is an Occupational Therapist and a Certified Hand Therapist. Jim has over 25 years of experience and has been in the South Florida area for most of that time. He has a Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy from The State University of New York and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Jim is an avid tennis player and enjoys most outdoor activity.

Anthony King, PT, DPT, MTC

Anthony, a native of Tampa, received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine, his Manual Therapy Certification from the University of St. Augustine, and his Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science from Florida State University. Anthony's passion lies in all areas of orthopedics, especially the cervical and lumbar spine. He utilizes an evidence-based approach, with a combination of manual therapy with functional exercises and patient education to maximize improvement and meet the goals of his patients. Anthony enjoys spending time outdoors, running, playing golf, and takes interest in most sports. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association.

Molly Knight, PT, DPT

Molly Knight graduated with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree and a Bachelor’s in Biomedical Sciences from the University of South Florida. Molly’s unique clinical experience in an interdisciplinary chronic pain clinic sparked her drive and passion to treat chronic pain conditions utilizing pain neuroscience education. She has a strong interest in pelvic floor health. She is starting the process to become certified in pelvic floor and pregnancy/postpartum rehabilitation. Molly strives to build positive relationships with her patients and empowers patients during their rehabilitation process.

Molly was born and raised in Florida and grew up on the water. In her free time, she enjoys soccer, racquetball, beach volleyball, skim boarding, wakeboarding, kayaking, and mountain biking at local parks. Molly is passionate about optimizing movement to allow her patients to enjoy all of Florida’s amazing outdoor beauties.

Melson Korattiyil, PT, DPT, MPH

Melson graduated with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Massachusetts General Hospital- Institute of Health Professions (MGH-IHP) in Boston, MA. He grew up in Tampa, FL and attended the University of South Florida where he received his Bachelors of Science degree in Biology and Masters in Public Health. Melson has an interest in treating a variety of orthopedic and neurologic conditions. Melson believes in creating a patient-centered approach utilizing a variety of treatment methods, including manual therapy, to help patients reach their functional goals. In his spare time, he also enjoys spending time with family and friends and traveling.

Lauren Kriz, PT, DPT, LMT

Lauren graduated with a Doctor of Physical Therapy from Nova Southeastern University. However, she began her path to helping others in 1998 when she became a licensed massage therapist. She then earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from Florida Atlantic University and her Master’s degree in Exercise Science from the University of South Florida. She spent many years focused on the prevention of injury and disease while helping individuals meet their fitness goals by managing corporate fitness centers, personal training, teaching group fitness, and creating specialty wellness programs. Her career now includes helping people of all ages recover from injury as well as managing chronic pain. Her physical therapy philosophy is to help people achieve their goals through an individualized approach based on compassion, open communication, and current evidence.

Cathy Kuba, PT, MPT

Cathy has been practicing Physical Therapy in the Tampa Bay area for over 10 years and holds a Masters of Physical Therapy and a Bachelors of Health Science from the University of Florida. She is currently completing the Manual Therapy Certification through the University of St. Augustine and is working towards a certification in Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization through The Prague School in the Czech Republic. Her treatment philosophy focuses on providing a unique and hands-on treatment approach addressing various orthopedic, neurologic and sports related conditions through comprehensive evaluation, intervention and education. A huge proponent of an independent and healthy lifestyle, Cathy encourages her patients in the clinic, on the field or in the gym by joining in their activity or by educating them in a return to sport regimen. She is active in the community as a Coach with the Buddy Baseball program of Temple Terrace and enjoys participating with her family in local running events.

Alisha Laing, PT, DPT, CSCS

Alisha graduated from Duke University with her Doctor of Physical Therapy. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Exercise Science at Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Alisha was a collegiate volleyball player, earning two varsity letters from the University of Georgia and two from Grand Valley State University. She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and USA Weightlifting Sports Performance coach. Alisha is also currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine from the University of Western States. She enjoys working with the general orthopedic population and has a special interest in treating runners, volleyball players, and CrossFit athletes. Her treatment approach combines manual therapy, corrective exercise and functional training. She aims to educate patients to improve function, promote injury prevention, and allow for lifelong participation in sports and physical activity.

Brittney Locker, PT, DPT

Brittney was born and raised in Sarasota, FL and attended the University of Central Florida where she received her Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences. She received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of South Florida in 2011 and comes to OPPT from All Children's Hospital where she worked in pediatrics treating a variety of diagnoses. Brittney is a hard working individual and expects the same from all her patients. She believes in the importance of educating her patients on their condition and providing home exercises with emphasis on proper form to regain motion and strength to return to their daily activities. In her spare time she enjoys working out and spending time with her family and friends.

Jeremy Maddox, PT, DPT, MTC, CSCS

Jeremy has been practicing for over 15 years and is a graduate of The University of St. Augustine with a doctorate in Physical Therapy. Jeremy holds a Bachelors Degree in Marine Science and is certified in Manual Therapy and is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Jeremy's treatment philosophy is to provide exceptional care, personally and clinically that goes above the expectations of our patients and to create a total environment of support, healing and expertise to all. Jeremy is the Tampa Physical Therapy Consultant for the New York Yankees.

Samantha Martin, PT, DPT

Samantha holds a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Exercise Science and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy, both from the University of New England. Samantha's passion for exercise is evident with her experience as an NSCA-Certified Personal Trainer for 5 years. She also has been instructing group exercise for the past 7 years with classes including Kickboxing, Yoga, Cycling, Boot Camp, HIIT and Core, with additional experience in Martial Arts, Weight lifting and Hot Yoga. Samantha provides therapy services to those with any orthopedic issues but has a special interest in pelvic floor rehabilitation. She has a strong sensitivity to the intimate and personal issues within the Women's Health area of practice and feels passionate about helping those with pelvic floor dysfunction. Samantha is a lifelong learner eager for continuing education, strives to optimize function and promote lifelong health and wellness to all her patients.

Mark McElroy, MSPT, OCS

Mark received his Masters degree in Physical Therapy from the University of North Florida in 2001. He is a board Orthopedic Certified Specialist and also certified in Active Release Therapy, Blood Flow Restrictive Therapy, Graston Technique, FMS/SFMA and he has an extensive background in Maitland manual therapy. Mark served as a Physical Therapist for the United States Air Force for 16 years, where he started as a staff therapist in San Antonio Texas. He then became the Director of Health and Wellness Center in Aviano Italy. Mark moved to Washington DC to become the Physical Medicine Director for one of the largest Air Force clinics. His last assignment for 5 years, was working with the elite special forces of the Air Force as an embedded physical therapist. Mark considers himself an athlete as he has completed over 20 marathons, multiple Ironman events and holds a 3rd degree Black Belt. He was a running coach for Newton Running and the Air Force Efficient Running Program. His treatment philosophy comes from his personal life “The right treatment for the right problem, personal responsibly plays a key role in the speedy recovery”

Torie McIntosh, PT, DPT

Originally from Connecticut, Torie graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore with a Doctorate in Physical therapy. She holds a bachelors degree in exercise science with a minor in psychology from Rutgers University. Her clinical interests include orthopedics, pediatrics and sports-related injuries due to personal experiences as a former gymnast, soccer player, and track athlete in the physical therapy field. As a clinician she places high emphasis on treating the individual as a whole and not just the diagnosis. With an educational background in evidence-based practice she ensures the most effective and efficient care to get her patients back on track. Outside of the clinic Torie enjoys working out and spending time with family.

Shannon Merrick, PT, MSPT, ATC

Shannon brings 20 years of physical therapy experience to OPPT. He earned his bachelor's degree in Athletic Training from Purdue University and his Masters in Physical Therapy from Washington University Medical School in St. Louis. He joins OPPT after being the Director of Rehabilitation for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the last 10 years. Shannon's treatment focus is in general orthopedics with emphasis on sport related injuries. His treatment philosophy is to provide quality physical therapy through hands on treatment, exercise and patient education.

Jesse Myers, PT, DPT

Jesse obtained his Doctor of physical therapy degree from the University of Scranton and graduated from Lock Haven University with a Bachelor of Science degree. His clinical experiences enabled him to develop strong manual therapy skills. During his graduate work, he published a poster presentation at APTA’s Combined Sections Meeting with the study titled “Soft-tissue Mobilization (ST) vs. Eccentric Exercise (Ecc) for the Treatment of Tendinosis”. Jesse aims to integrate manual techniques, individualized exercise programs, and evidence based practice to yield the best results for patient outcomes. In his spare time, Jesse enjoys a variety of adventurous activities including Yoga, rock climbing, snowboarding, kayaking, and paddle boarding.

Kaitlyn Ostroski, PT, DPT

Kaitlyn, who was born and raised in Tampa, received her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from The University of Tampa and obtained her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from The University of Miami. While at UM she participated in physical therapy research which allowed her to work closely with the university’s football team. As a former high school and collegiate basketball player who encountered numerous injuries, Kaitlyn has a passion for injury prevention in young athletes. Kaitlyn’s treatment philosophy focuses on individualized treatment with a combination of manual therapy and functional exercise to improve her patient’s quality of life and return them to the activities they love. Kaitlyn is also a former Tampa Bay Storm cheerleader and she has a passion for dance, Pilates and yoga.

Beth Patterson, PT, DPT, SCS, CHC

Beth brings over 20 year of PT experience to OPPT and specializes in the rehabilitation and prevention of sports-related injuries with all athletes, with a particular interest in treating gymnasts and cheerleaders. Beth received her degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse graduating with Highest Honors. Beth has been board certified in Sports Physical Therapy through the American Physical Therapy Association since 2000 and is one of only 1,424 board certified Sports Physical Therapists in the Country. Board certification demonstrates advanced knowledge, skills, and experience in specialty areas of Physical Therapy. In addition, Beth is also certified in Health Care Compliance by the Health Care Compliance Association. Beth was a collegiate gymnast and currently enjoys participating in a variety of sports including waterskiing, wakeboarding, Nordic and Downhill skiing, and rollerblading. Beth also enjoys spending time with her family. Adrian Perez, PT, DPT

Adrian is a native Floridian that received both his Bachelors of Science and Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Florida. He believes in a patient-centered approach that seeks to explore the biomechanical constraints a patient may present with; and develop a treatment plan that looks to correct the dysfunction with the goal of helping the patient achieve his/her goals. He tailors treatment to the patient with focuses on corrective exercise, neuromuscular reeducation, manual therapy, as appropriate. Adrian has worked with athletes of all ages, as well as with those simply seeking to improve their quality of life. With regard to specific sports, he has aided the rehabilitation of basketball, volleyball, baseball, and football athletes of all ages as well as MMA fighters, and CrossFit participants. When away from the clinic, Adrian enjoys fishing, spearfishing, diving, and working out with increased interest in Olympic lifting and kettlebell training. He is also a fluent Spanish speaker.

Christina Rankin, PT, DPT

Christina received her Bachelor's of Science degree in Human Development and Family Science from The Ohio State University in 2013, then went on to receive her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Nova Southeastern University in 2016. She enjoys assisting those with general orthopedic problems as well those with pelvic floor dysfunction. Christina is actively pursuing specific training and certifications to address the sensitive needs within the pelvic floor dysfunction population. Her treatment philosophy is combining physical therapy evidence based practice and patient education while incorporating patients' wants, needs, fears, and expectations in order to achieve functional goals and to improve overall quality of life. In her spare time, Christina enjoys participating in a wide variety of sports, going to concerts, visiting the beach, and travelling.

Debbie Raplee, PT, DPT, OCS, ATC

Debbie received her Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training from Lenoir-Rhyne University. She went on to receive her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of South Florida. Debbie holds a BOC certification for athletic training and practiced as a certified athletic trainer at a DII College prior to completing her Doctorate. Debbie recently completed a Physical Therapy Orthopedic Residency at the James A. Haley Veteran's Hospital in Tampa. While at Lenoir-Rhyne University, she was a member of the LRU Women's soccer team. Debbie's passion is in general orthopedics and sports injuries.

Jacob Sager, PT, DPT

Jacob holds a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Emory University. His treatment focus includes analysis of movement dysfunction and biomechanics with an emphasis on manual intervention and neuromuscular reeducation. He has spent time participating in running injury clinics and has facilitated rehabilitation for professional, college and high school athletes participating in volleyball, baseball, basketball, wrestling, lacrosse and ultimate frisbee. Jacob's approach involves instilling confidence and independence in patients through education and awareness of appropriate movement patterns, mechanics, and posture. He provides therapy services for general orthopedics as well as neurological dysfunction, including vestibular and balance rehabilitation. Jacob spends his off hours with his family, as well as playing basketball, ultimate frisbee, and the banjo.

Sumer Samhoury, MSPT, DPT, CAMT, PRPC

Sumer has practiced physical therapy in New York City since 2003 before recently moving to sunny Florida. She holds a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from Hunter College and a Post-Professional Doctor of Physical Therapy from Stony Brook University. She also holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology. Sumer has found her passion in Pelvic Floor Dysfunction and has focused her practice in this specialty area for the last 7 years. Her expert care can alleviate problems stemming from pelvic pain, pregnancy and post-partum care, urinary incontinence, chronic prostatitis, erectile dysfunction, abdominal adhesions, GI and bowel disorders, and painful intercourse. Sumer’s expertise in male and female pelvic rehabilitation, combined with her orthopedic foundation, allows her to provide a holistic, healing approach that includes visceral manipulation, soft tissue mobilization, manual therapy, and muscle energy to provide her patients with long-lasting results.

Holly Schmidt-Lawson, PT, DPT, MTC

Holly graduated with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine and has been practicing since December 2005. She has a bachelor's degree in Biology from University of Tampa where she played collegiate Softball. She is also certified in Manual Therapy from the University of St. Augustine. She specializes in Orthopedics, Sports Rehabilitation, Spinal Rehabilitation, TMJ dysfunction and Vestibular Rehabilitation. Holly's treatment philosophy is providing quality hands on care to improve a person's quality of life in a fun and professional environment. Holly is a fan of local sports teams including Tampa Bay Rays and Lightning and continues to participate in local softball co-ed leagues.

Jan Schorpion, PT, DPT, SCS, CSCS

Jan holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Miami, FL, is a Board Certified Sports Physical Therapist through the ABTPS, and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. He has a special interest in treating runners by performing gait analysis and utilizing specific treatment programs to assist runners of all levels in achievement of their goals. Jan's goal is to decrease risk for injury and improve body awareness for all patients and takes an active approach to physical therapy by using proper core stabilization to allow for optimal movement and function of the body. He believes in providing the best physical therapy care based on individual goals, maximizing everyone's own potential and strives to make physical therapy an enjoyable experience for all. In his spare time, he is a soccer fan and endurance sport enthusiast who is always working on improving his own understanding and knowledge of the sport. Jan is a two time Ironman finisher, has raced in over 30+ triathlons, and numerous running events.

Nathan Sipe-Powell, PT, DPT, CSCS

Nathan is a graduate of Clarke University where he received his Bachelor's degree in Biology and went on to obtain his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. He worked at two hospitals in Iowa before moving to Tampa to work at OPPT. His physical therapy philosophy includes addressing patient goals with specific treatments designed to improve the patient's livelihood and function. Nathan is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. In his spare time, he likes to exercise, read, and enjoy the wonderful Florida weather!

Willem Stegeman, PT, DPT, MTC, CEAS

Willem has been practicing Physical Therapy for over 20 years in the US, Netherlands and Germany. He holds a Bachelors degree from the University of Nijmegen, The Netherlands, and a Doctorate from the University of St. Augustine. He has taught multiple courses in Physical Therapy in Florida and is certified in Manual Therapy through the University of St. Augustine. Willem has practiced in several settings such as the Dutch military, the Dutch National Sports Centre Papendal (treating professional athletes), and in long term care rehab, home health, hospital inpatient settings and in private practice. He specializes in sports and orthopedic rehabilitation with a strong interest in spinal rehabilitation. He has completed several marathons and half-marathons, and is an avid tennis player.

Kelly Tangen, PT, MPT, MTC

Kelly has been practicing in Tampa since 2004. She is a Florida native and earned a Master's degree in Physical Therapy from The University of South Florida. She is also a Certified Manual Therapist through the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. Kelly enjoys working with a variety of patients and conditions including orthopedic and sports injuries, vestibular/balance conditions and TMJ problems. Her treatment philosophy is to perform a thorough evaluation and individualized treatments in order to improve function and quality of life. Outside of the clinic Kelly enjoys running, working out and family time with her husband and two boys.

Mike Tangen, PT, OCS, MTC

Mike is a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist and holds a Masters in Physical Therapy from the University of South Florida as well as a Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science from the University of Tampa. Mike is also certified in Manual Therapy from the University of St. Augustine and has been practicing since 2004. Mike's treatment philosophy is to listen to each patient and identify their individual problems which allow him to create a comprehensive program customized to meet their specific needs.

Shayne Tarrance, PT, WCS, BCB-PMD

Shayne is the only Board Certified Women's Health Specialist in the Tampa Bay area and one of only 226 nationwide. A graduate of The University of Central Florida, Shayne has been a practicing Physical Therapist for almost 15 years. Shayne is also biofeedback certified in the management of pelvic floor disorders and represents the State of Florida for the Women's Section of the American Physical Therapy Association. Shayne is an adjunct faculty member at Nova Southeastern University and has taught several courses on Women's Health for various Physical Therapy programs. Shayne's treatment philosophy is to provide one on one treatment to help all individuals achieve the highest level of pelvic health and improve the quality of their lives.

Jennifer Terry, PT

Jennifer has practiced physical therapy in the Tampa area for the past thirteen years. She earned her bachelor's degree in Exercise and Sport Sciences from the University of Florida and received her Masters degree in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine. Her advanced training includes certification in Neurodevelopmental Treatment of the Pediatric Patient (NDT) and the Halliwick Method of Aquatic Therapy. Although Jennifer works with people of all ages, she specializes in pediatric clients, treating children who have a wide range of diagnoses including developmental, neurological, sensory, and orthopedic conditions. With a child-focused, family-centered approach to physical therapy, Jennifer encourages children to achieve their therapy goals and reach their full potential at home, in school, and in the community.

Paul Terry, PT, MPT, MTC

A native Floridian, Paul has been practicing physical therapy in Tampa since moving to the area in 1998. He holds a Business Administration degree from Presbyterian College and a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine. He is also certified in Manual Therapy. Prior to settling into his career as a physical therapist, Paul traveled the United States with the Doyle Baseball School, instructing players of all ages on the proper mechanics related to the game of baseball. Paul conducts a complete musculoskeletal evaluation for each of his clients to determine all the factors contributing to their pain and dysfunction. He combines this treatment with educating his patients on how to prevent future injuries as well as ways to seek a lifestyle of health and fitness. Paul practices what he preaches through his own participation in endurance sports in central Florida. He has completed several triathlons and enjoys treating athletes from these events. Moreover, as a father of three children involved in sports programs, he has a special interest in education and prevention of overuse injuries in young athletes.

Ginny Tolle, PT, DPT, OCS

Ginny graduated with a Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of South Florida in 2015. She received a Bachelor of Health Science with a Minor in Art History from the University of Florida in 2012. Ginny completed an Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Residency at the University of South Florida’s School of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Sciences and is board certified in Orthopaedics. She strives to build rapport with her patients that will facilitate a course of rehabilitation to allow them to exceed their goals. Ginny enjoys spending time volunteering with organizations such as Special Olympics Florida and non-profit clinics to help the under-served communities in the Tampa Bay area. Outside of healthcare, she loves to spend time on the water, attend outdoor festivals and concerts, and cheer on the local sports teams, Go Rowdies!

Andrew Toman, PT, DPT, CSCS

Andrew earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine. His previous experience as a personal trainer, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and club volleyball coach has drawn his interest in physical therapy towards athletes. He enjoys working with tactical, professional, and recreational athletes and injury prevention. Among his skillsets Andrew is fluent in written and verbal Spanish. His philosophy is to provide the highest quality personalized care for every patient population in their journey to recovery. He is currently pursuing the opportunity to become a Board Certified Sports Physical Therapist with the American Physical Therapy Association. In his free time, Andrew enjoys participating in all activities outdoors, spending time with his family, and exploring the Florida coast.

Collin Wallace, PT, DPT, CSCS

Collin earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from University of Colorado. He also holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Human Biology and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. He is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association as an assembly representative for the West Central District of Florida. In accordance with patients’ specific goals, Collin strives to apply evidence-based interventions to maximize patient’s function and/or performance. While using an active and progressive approach, he places a large emphasis on patient education and empowerment to prevent recurrent injury. As a former collegiate athlete, Collin is a sport/fitness enthusiast and enjoys basketball, golf, strength training, and especially downhill skiing/snowboarding.

Lauren Wilcox, PT, DPT

Lauren obtained her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Stony Brook University in New York. She fell in love with the Tampa area when she attended the University of South Florida and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences in 2008. Lauren has a particular interest in sport and orthopedic therapies and is working toward becoming a board certified sport specialist. Lauren’s treatment philosophy is to ensure her patients receive the highest quality care and are provided with the education they need to prevent further injury. Lauren has a passion for traveling, reading, hiking, and plays a variety of outdoor sports with friends including softball, volleyball and tennis. She also enjoys participating in local Tampa sporting events, festivals, volunteer opportunities.

Andrea Yarbrough, PT, DPT

Andrea earner her Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine. She graduated from Charleston Southern University with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. Andrea strives to meet patient’s goals while returning them to prior level of function. She incorporates a patient centered approach along with manual therapy and selective therapeutic exercises to yield optimal outcome. Andrea enjoys watching sports and cheering for the South Carolina Gamecocks. In her free time, she enjoys staying active by playing beach volleyball and working out.

Jeff Young, PT, DPT

Jeff Young graduated as a Doctor of Physical Therapy from Florida International University. Jeff completed his undergraduate in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology at the University of Florida. His education and interests provide him with a unique background in exercise physiology. His clinical experiences include a wide array of settings working with spinal cord injuries to professional athletes. Jeff has a passion for developing his manual skills and working in a variety of patient populations.

Outside of the clinic, Jeff is a sports enthusiast. He is passionate for the game of basketball and is an avid golfer.  He continues to referee basketball in several conferences. Jeff hopes to continue developing his special interest working with golfers and related injuries. He aims to combine his previous sports and exercise experience, current research, and manual skills to optimize patient’s recovery.
