Luiz Valverde is originally from Brazil, but 13 years ago he decided to move to the US and pursue his dream of becoming a Doctor of Physical Therapy. Over the past 7 years, he has worked as a physical therapist assistant, gaining valuable experience and knowledge in the field of physical therapy. He graduated with his doctorate from Florida Southern College, where he was able to expand his understanding of the human body and its mechanics. Throughout his studies, he has always had a passion for helping people and listening to their stories which has made my journey toward becoming a physical therapist all more fulfilling. Working with the geriatric population has been particularly rewarding for him. He finds incredibly gratifying to help seniors maintain their mobility and independence. Therefore, he has made it his goal to pursue board certification in geriatrics to enhance his skills and knowledge to provide the best possible care to patients. In his spare time, he loves to spend time with his wife and family. He also loves to engage in activities such as hiking and traveling. He hopes to get back to playing soccer because he finds it both energizing and a great way to clear his mind. Overall, he enjoys working with, listening to, and helping people which has made him passionate about his chosen career in physical therapy.
