Matt Zerah originally from Long Island New York developed a passion for Sports Medicine and Physical Therapy at an early age. Matt earned his Bachelors Degree in Athletic Training at SUNY Brockport where he was also a member of the baseball team. Following graduation, Matt worked as an Outreach Athletic Trainer treating and rehabbing athletes with the NY Cosmos professional soccer team and local schools. Matt attended Gannon University Doctor of Physical Therapy Program and graduated in 2018. Prior to joining OPPT, Matt worked at a Sports Medicine Clinic in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Matt worked with a variety of patient populations, including work with professional athletes in the NFL, MLB, NHL, and professional tennis. Matt’s philosophy is to devise a treatment plan specific to the individual, and to return their quality of life using the most up to date evidence based practice. Matt incorporates his manual therapy skills that includes IASTM, ART, and Cupping Therapy to assist in his treatment protocol. In his free time Matt and his wife stay active playing sports, enjoying the outdoors, traveling, and spending time with family.
