Originally from Crystal River, FL, Pete earned his Bachelor's in Health Science from the University of South Florida (Go Bulls!), and earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. Pete began his journey into Physical Therapy as a high-school athlete, playing both baseball and basketball. He became a student of movement science and athletic performance thanks to impactful relationships with coaches and athletic trainers, and soon after high school, became certified as a personal trainer. Pete prides himself on practicing what he preaches: advocating for healthy, active lifestyles, and is himself an avid weightlifter of 20 years. Pete found his work as a personal trainer rewarding: over a 10 year professional career, he was able to help clients meet significant weight loss goals, pass physical exams to gain entrance to the armed forces and
firefighting schools, and better compete in high-school and collegiate level athletics. His philosophies on patient care have been strongly impacted by his experience as a trainer and include the patient's goals driving and directing treatment, and thorough education ultimately leading the patient toward greater independence and control over their fitness and health.
