Samantha graduated from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in her hometown of Miami, Florida, with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She received her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology, along with a Minor in Business from Florida State University, and is a diehard Seminoles Fan. Samantha was inspired to become a PT following an injury she sustained in high school while dancing. Since the incident, she became passionate and inspired to pursue a career that allowed her to help others by educating and reimagining how we can recover from our injuries. Her interests include orthopedics, vestibular, and concussion rehabilitation, but more recently has become passionate about pursuing the treatment of pelvic floor dysfunctions, as she joins the OPPT team. She first encountered conditions related to the pelvic floor during her second clinical experience in Chicago and became inspired after listening and speaking with women of all ages and demographics, who were able to regain their independence and functional abilities as it related to sexual function, urinary incontinence, and bladder prolapse. She hopes to continue to empower women by encouraging them to engage in open dialogue as it relates to these issues, so they may no longer have to suffer in silence. In her spare time, she enjoys eating, traveling, dancing, painting, and spending time with her family. She looks forward to exploring the Tampa area and making an impact on all her new patients and community!
