Sumer has practiced physical therapy in New York City since 2003 before recently moving to sunny Florida. She holds a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from Hunter College and a Post-Professional Doctor of Physical Therapy from Stony Brook University. She also holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology. Sumer has found her passion in Pelvic Floor Dysfunction and has focused her practice in this specialty area for the last 7 years. Her expert care can alleviate problems stemming from pelvic pain, pregnancy and post-partum care, urinary incontinence, chronic prostatitis, erectile dysfunction, abdominal adhesions, GI and bowel disorders, and painful intercourse. Sumer’s expertise in male and female pelvic rehabilitation, combined with her orthopedic foundation, allows her to provide a holistic, healing approach that includes visceral manipulation, soft tissue mobilization, manual therapy, and muscle energy to provide her patients with long-lasting results.
