Haylie is originally from Ohio and just moved to St. Petersburg in the summer of 2022 so she’s very happy to be here!  She received her DPT degree at the University of Toledo in 2018. Before obtaining her DPT she completed her undergraduate degree in Exercise Physiology at Ohio University in 2015. Her interest in physical therapy began when she was in high school and had to go through it herself and realized she wanted to pursue this as a career to help people better their lives. She enjoys treating various orthopedic injuries and conditions, but finds the knee, back, and shoulder the most interesting and challenging. She has worked in both the outpatient setting and in a gym over the last several years and took the last year off from work to be with her 2-year-old son at home. She likes to exercise (weight lift, run, walk, etc.), go to farmer’s markets, and explore St. Petersburg with her husband, son and dog for fun! She is very passionate about physical therapy and how large of a positive impact it can have on patients’ quality of life and wellbeing. She truly believes you only have one body so treating it well and trying to optimize movement will only help you in the long run.
